This Team is Not Yet Rated

An entry in the 2007 Visa "Life Takes" Invitational.

Our entry in the NY 48Hour Film Project

Team meeting - production meeting to discuss locations, equipments, cast, and possible story ideas.

Time:            Sunday, Aug. 26th, 2007

                     2:00pm

Location:      Think Coffee

                     248 Mercer St

                     between 4th and 3rd

                     (between 3rd St & 4th St)

                     New York, NY 10012

                     (212) 228-6226

Task Teams:

Naveen / Rod / Zhanyi will lead the casting team.  Like the three judges from the American Idols, each cast requires at least two out of three "yes" votes.

Allon / Tony B / Tony Jones will lead the search for equipments (I have reserved a camera already, but we are still looking for steadicam rig and/or operator).

David Chen / Zhanyi / Naveen will lead the search for locations - I'm leaning towards Williamsburg unless someone has better location choices.

The rest of the team should start pencil down costume / prop rental place, make-up, transportation, weather watch, catering, and help out with casting, equipments, locations.

Locations Options:

Edgewater, NJ (an apartment building, with outdoor tennis court, large open space, and indoor library)

I got us the Panasonic DVX for June 2-3 and June 16-17. Love this camera...can't wait to use it!

Hey folks, I've noticed someone put Central Park in the list of possible places to shoot. That's a great place, but there are restrictions shooting in CP. If caught with a crew of 5-6 or more the authorities will ask for a permit. Don't know about other public areas, but I'm pretty sure about this rule in CP. Also setting a tripod in public in general also requires a permit.

Ooh, good point, Zhanyi. I think 48hrs also mentioned something about this in one of their docs.

Yeah....I feel in general we need to be prudent with shooting in public places. Also, relevant article: http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?NewsID=1098889
